Tekin rx8 gen2 problem
So i just hooked up my brand new system and when i turned it on i get red scrolling lights. It says on the tekin site that it could be the fan polarity reversed but i unpluged it and put it the other way but its still happening? Did i fry the system.......

Is it plugged into a bound RX? You may want to ask this in the RX8 Gen 2 thread. http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...hread-243.html

Gotta calibrate it to the radio
|
The "Night Rider" code is the fan being plugged in backwards. The radio calibration wasn't the issue UNLESS there were 3 LEd's to one side.

So i set the fan on the esc to auto and it says it should kick on at 140F but today i took the buggy out and it was only about 60 outside and i would only go about 2 times around the track and the fan would kick on and keep running i temped everything and the hotest everything got was 80f any ideas.....

Did you just use a temp gun or did you also use the LED lights on the ESC to check temp?

In short it blinks a certain LED to show the temp. The manual shows what each LED adds up to in Fahrenheit |
is there a reason for the fan to be kicking on like that or is something wrong?

Well that's why I was asking if you checked the onboard temp because perhaps the ESC was misreading it's temperature. So the temp gun says one thing but the ESC might say another.
