Thanks to Randy Pike for helping me with the esc. Resetting back to the factory settings and software update everything now works perfectly.

Does tekin still do a trade in program? I still run my rx8 gen1 in my scte but would love to be able to trade it in for a discount on a gen3. I hear these escs have come a ways since the 1st gen and are a lot smoother.

Yes, you can trade in any generation RX8 in any condition for a gen3. The cost is $123 plus shipping (listed under out of warranty replacement on the RMA form found here:https://www.teamtekin.com/assets/tws...ce_request.pdf).

Randy Pike (Tekin Team Manager) clarified your exact question somewhere on these forums regarding the RX8 upgrade. You can for sure do that with the RX8. Not sure if it holds true for the motors, so best to ask.

Not sure we're doing generational motor upgrades at those prices. But I can ask and find out. Motors are more of a "wear" item than Speedos.

I knew it was a longshot. Never hurts to ask tho. Im super happy I can trade in my rx8 tho.

Beta test app was pushed out today....

Anyone tested the new firmware 272 on their RX8 Gen3 , so far i'm impressed , I need to do more extensive testing but I really see more smoothness in the ESC .
I still need to adjust the ESC settings for what I'm doing , right now it's installed in my Tekno MT-410 with the new reedy motor (sonic 866 1900kv) and wow I thought that I needed a truggy motor for this monster truck I don't .
go job Tekin with the release of this firmware I enjoy it more and more since you introduced Throttle and brake frequency on your ESC.

My hotwire app on my iphone 6 will not longer connect to the hotwire 3.0 after doing the update. When I try to connect I get a message on the phone stating the need to delete the old app and download the latest version, however when I did this I still go the same message on my phone. Is there a new hot wire app for iphones in the works?

The new app for the iPhone should be out very soon. It can take longer to get approved and in the App Store than on PC or Android.
