Default Did i damage my BEC?

So i was trying to put 6V LEDs on my car. They were connected to the reciever and the reciever was of corse to the ESC. During the process the LED's naked negative wire connected to the battery's + wire. It did not short out, the LED became brighter. I later measured 8v (fully charged 7.2 lipo) between the recievers negative and the battery's positive pole. It was only for a moment and the esc works fine. I dont think it damaged anything. Your toughts? Oh the esc fan also spun faster when the wires connected.

Well, you may have gotten lucky and if it's working now then use it until it fails if it does. Good luck

Who knows. Usually stuff works when it works, and doesn't when its broken. I would use it until its broken.

I also mentioned that LEDs were involved in the circuit, so it was not at short at all. I read that a guy shorted his wires using a 3s lipo and he gets constant 12v from the bec. He surely fried it, but mine wasnt a short.
