Questions?? Recommend a charger for me

Hey all, I'm sure this has come up many times. I'm on a tight budget so I'm not looking for $200 or more chargers..... I mainly use only 2s lipos and really need to replace my old/ancient ICE charger...... so if I had a good $125 or so to spend.... which way should I be looking? Thanks in advance !!

I have a Venom duo and have been pretty satisfied with it. They also have great customer service IME. It can do two different batteries at once and I believe it was only $99 when I got it.

I'm enjoying my new Ultra Power 100AC Duo. It was $70, charges 2 batteries at a time of any chemistry and is nice and small. There are several brands that re-label UP stuff.

Where did you get the UP 100Ac Duo for $70?

I've been using the Ultra Power 120 duo and it's been great. It's the same charger as the Reedy 1216 but without the name. It will do two batteris at 12 amps, and will do HV lipos if you have the need as well.

the sky rc D100 is the same as the hitec and will do HVlipos also. search around and see where you can get the cheapest deal on either of these chargers.

I use both of these. Bought them after thinking I needed the highly praised Hyperion a few years ago, only to have it die within a few months of service with no one in the states to fix it. I began a quest to find a cheap, disposable alternative. If they break, throw them away and replace. I'm going on over 2 years now on each of these and haven't had any problems with them. I started with the AC/DC model for convenience (and seldom, if ever needing to charge over 1C). Then, the AC/DC version was only 150 watts. The newer version (link listed below) is now up to 200 watts. I bought the 180 watt DC version later with a cheap $40 power supply to charge at 10 amps (4S 6500mAh packs for eTruggy).

The balancing algorithm is one of the quickest I've seen in LiPo chargers. I race both eBuggy and eTruggy and have never had the problem of missing a race, waiting on a battery to charge.

Touch screen interface works well and is very intuitive.

I hope you realize that you can only charge at 15A total with the Hitec even though the box says 10A on each channel. The power supply is under-sized. You also can only do 1S lipo on the first channel. If you race 1/12 this is a big problem.

The Reedy 1216 C2 /Ultrapower does a real 12A on each channel (24A total)and it does 1S~6S on both channels. The fan is also temperature controlled, so you don't have it screaming full blast all day.

Glad I got my ElanGears Rx2 a couple years ago. Best charger I've ever used. tons of power and charges one channel at 15A the other at 10A and it can power another charger through the additional ports, and charge my phone via the USB port.

They're a bit pricey but I got it on barter for design work so I paid with my time.

They pop up here from time to time in the B/S/T forum so if you see one within your budget, I'd jump on it.
