Default SKYRC OR HOBBYWING

OK looking for input I am upgrading my esc's I currently have been running the trackstar 120 turbo esc's and they have served me well I just want newer gear and I like the ability of tuning from my smart phone.

options are the Hobbywing XR10 Stock Spec ESC (2S)

or

The Skyrc toro ts120a

I see multiple pros and cons to them I will list the links and some of the pros and cons I see on them.

https://www.hobbywingdirect.com/coll...-stockspec-esc

Hobby wing definitely has name recognition and resale is always a little better. also the foot print on this esc is very small for its abilities. A few negatives are the price of the wifi controller is 50+ and it is an 80 amp esc which is not a deal breaker just more used to the 120 amp in this price range.

http://www.skyrc.com/index.php?route...product_id=206

This esc comes in at 20-30 dollars less on the esc and the wifi module is $20 so there is an overall savings of 60 or so, also like the 120 amp capability once again this is not needed for myself but is an advantage on resell also is 3s capable.

As I said both have pros and cons just looking to see if there are any opinions out there or considerations that I have not seen, all said right now I am leaning towards the skyrc.

Also if you know of something in the same 100 to 130 price range that is a better option let me know I am open to all my 2 main issues are no external power switch and the ability to program from a cell phone.

Hobbywing, even if just for the support! Quality is awesome too of course. I switched all my gear from LRP & Novak to HW 1/10 & 1/8.

While I myself am a Castle man, you can't go wrong with Hobbywing, I hear nothing but praises for them from the many folks at my track that use it.

Been a castle guy for years but I'll say hobby wing also. Running a 120a act pro in my 4x4 slash but running ts120 in my 2wd and love the iPhone compatible wifi module.
