Yes they should be able to work together

If the radio is new then no. At the beginning of 2015 Spektrum removed the DSM protocol from the radios to make them globally compliant . The Dx4s will only work with some DSM2 and DSMR receivers.

That would probably make it a no then .. radio was purchased about 3 months ago
