Default Which 17.5t Motor

So I recently relocated for a new job and the RC club here does indoor carpet with buggy and short course. So I bought myself a Team Associated B6. Now i'm puzzled on what 17.5t motor to get as there are lots out there. Also don't mention Hobby King as they can burn. I was thinking of using my Tekin RS Gen2. Not sure tho. I was looking at Hobbywing but ive had lots of issues with them in the past but I might be willing to give them another try.

Well you have opened a can of worms when you ask about 17.5 motors and what one is best. You will have a lot of different answers, so here is my ideas.... you have Reedy which makes a great motor and a lot of people run them, then you have Tekin Gen 3's not the Gen 2's.. those are great motors also like the Reedy. The motors I have been really happy with id the R1 Wurks V11 motors.. they are fast and great quality but you will pay for it. So if I was you I would go to the track and ask around and see what they are running so you have some setup help with them and run that brand. That is just my 2 cents.

Jdutch gave you the best advice. Motors are closer than ever to each other and I've seen good and bad of all the top names. Having set up help at your track will do you more good than asking this question here.

I generally run Reedy motors, but I have recently tried out one of the new Trinity Monster Horsepower motors and was pretty impressed. If you can find someone with one in stock, that's what I would recommend right now.

I have a Reedy Mach 3 17.5 and have no complaints. If you want to spend $$$ the Fantom motors are hard to beat.

Majority of the guys run that Trinity 24K Gold motor. I don't mind it but that gold throws off my color scheme off really bad, as I want a stealth looking B6.

I was looking at those Fantom motors. I like how you can get different rotors and such. Im looking at the Works Edition Plus. But need to find out what size the track is.

The new Fantom stuff is really good. For 2wd buggy, v2r with the high torque rotor. The ceramic bearings and all that is great, but you don't need it if you don't want to spend the money.

Reedy has solid stuff, I hear the Team Scream motors are great right now, Trinity is always good...
