Default Graupner telemetry tutorial

I'm not an expert but I just got my Graupner X-8N controller and spent all day trying to piece together little scraps of info from all over the web trying to get the telemetry working. The manual isn't particularly helpful either.

For the genius 60R +T pro here are the steps. It uses the older version of their telemetry system and only works with the GR-4 receiver that I have found so far. When you bind the GR-4 make sure you have the transmitter set to HOTT.

1. Plug the ESC into the channel 2 slot. Then plug the single wire for the telemetry into the 3rd slot. With the GR-4 this slot is dedicated to power and telemetry. The last slot is only for the voltage and temp sensor.

2. Go to the telemetry menu then to the sensor sub menu. You should see that it recognizes the ESC. Everything has to be turned on in order to see it. It sees my ESC as an air ESC for some reason.

3. Go into the telemetry menu and select the setting and data view sub menu. From here you can press the function button and a large screen will show up. Push the up or down button until you see the ESC. From here you can press inc to set warnings or change settings.
4. After you change the settings make sure you go back to page 1 and save the settings.

For the other surface ESCs the HOTT V2 system is used. The only receiver that works with this is the GR-8.

1. Plug the main receiver wire into channel 2. This is the only wire to the receiver that you will need.

2. Go into the RF set menu and select CH function. In here you need to select ch2 and change it to SUMD-V2. This sets the channel to be able to receive data from the ESC.

3. Restart the receiver and transmitter in the order that the transmitter tells you to.
4. Go into the telemetry menu and select device management. Go to device list and it should be in there as car ESC.

5. From here it is the same as step 3 from above.

To view telemetry data return to the home screen and press inc. You can cycle through the different data using inc and switch to other sensors by using up and down.
