Default mamba monster wont connect

My mamba monster works fine, but I cannot get it to connect to my field link card or from the field link card to the PC. all i get are alot of flashing lights but wont let me change any settings? I did update the card through castles site, but it didn't help. Any idea's appreciated
Thanks

Make sure it's plugged in the right way. ( +/_) Brown wire on ESC is the neg. side. Make sure all 3 wires are pushed in all the way.

tried it both ways, still nothing but flashing lights. I know the field link is working i used it on my other castle setups and its fine. maybe something is loose or off on the esc?

I had trouble using Castle Link on a CC ESC w/a CC BEC, it required a battery connected to work. I'm unsure if this could help, I don't have the Field Link.

What do u mean by a battery connected? I have the esc plugged into the battery, and the esc lead in the link?

If you use a seperate bec. Battery needs plugged in or a y harness because the positive wire will be removed from esc plug.
