One last question....I just noticed my cable is not an "OTG" cable. Perhaps that is the issue?

I just ordered one, so we will see

UPDATE: It was the OTG cable. As soon I plugged in the proper cable everything worked fine.

Yup did the same thing. Plugged the wire in and all it did was charge lol.. Ordered the right adapter aftwards
