Default Modify Sanwa wheel for for more throw?

I like my sanwa MXV transmitter, but im finding that the wheel lacks travel ..

has anyone modified the wheel end stops to increase the degrees of movement from say 60 degrees each side to 70? does the electronic pot behind the wheel have the ability to go further?
ive been racing for a year now and no matter how much i adjust EPA etc i just cant help but feel like i just need to have a wheel that isnt so small in angle....

I don't have an answer to your potentiometer question. Have you tried other Airtronics controllers like the Mt-4 or the M12 to compare their feel?

Have you tried a bigger diameter wheel? Most of the SANWA radios come with an optional wheel that is a larger diameter. This should essentially get what you are looking for as the larger wheel requires a bit more input to to reach full throw.

actually a bigger diameter wheel gives the feeling of less throw, a smaller diameter wheel gives more resolution and the feeling of more throw.

Pg 11 in manual. D/R and or EPA will answer your question. Adjust EPA where your servos stop buzzing, D/R on Throw, If the radio has Speed adj, you can play with that adj also.

A bigger wheel will definitely give the feeling of less turning for the amount of steering you input.

I have the same tx and it definitely is a short throw wheel. Took me a little time to adjust to that, now when I drive a car with a diff tx and a long throw wheel I feel like I can't get the car to turn.

I have no idea if the wheel or potentiometer could be swapped on that particular tx, though.
