Questions?? Hotwire for dummies!! Help!!

So I just got into Tekin for my 1/10 buggies and I bought a Hotwire. I like millions of other people have an iPhone. I have a kindle and I can't seem to get the app on it. Does anyone know if there is a way I can use it with a kindle or a cheap tablet I can buy? I saw one post on the Hotwire but everyone talks in tech terms and I need some layman's here. Thanks in advance guys

Find a cheap Windows laptop and save yourself the hassle. I've been down this rabbit hole and even though I eventually found the right USB adapter, it wouldn't work with my Samsung or ZTE. I them bought a $80 tablet just for this and it works, but I have some settings applied wrong on my older RS speedos.

The Windows Hotwire app is perfect every time and has been good for 10 years.

I have a laptop that I can do initial setups with but I wanted something small that I could pull out at the track if I had to do any tweaking. Don't want to lug around my laptop lol

Some guys on the Hotwire thread had found a cheapo tablet which worked. There must be a cheap second hand android phone you could use? USB cable won't work on iPhone when they remove the lightning port next anyway ;-)

I use a $40 RCA tablet from Walmart. Works fine.

I've used this tablet and found it to work well...$50 at Best Buy.

I picked up a used Samsung tablet, and it works great. I did update it with my main computer though.

more than half of the Android phones have the USB limited to charging only. some can be modded with USB OTG driver apps once you gain root control, some are physically limited. Many tablets seem to have better luck.

The Bright Tab V90 works well with a good OTG adapter. (there are also re-brands of this that I assume are the same)

Just be careful to not use it on the old black cased RS as it a 0 drag brake setting gets applied as 80% drag brake. I know this from personal experience. The oldest version of the Hotwire app worked fine before the updates though.
