Default Problem diagnosing

I am trying to figure it out why my buggy was behaving very irratic . It would have a lot of punch and power for 5 seconds then crawls for a few seconds.....then power and punch again....then crawls and buggy wouldn't clear the jumps....then power again.

I went home and cleaned the car and saw that the sensor plug into my esc was off. Would this be the culprit?

Let us know what car you have, radio, esc, motor, servo, and battery. All of this info will help.

Futaba 4pls, trims at 12 o'clock, EPA at 100%. Redo calibration on ESC as per manual. Make sure ESC confirms calibration by LED or tones.

Sensor wire could do that, I would say get that put back in and recalibrate and try again.

Plug it back in and test it in the driveway/street etc. (watch for traffic)

Or possibly your gear ratio too high, lower your pinion to the smaller.

update.

plugged it back in. Did not even calibrate... because it drives normally.

Everything is A OK.

For some reason the sensor plug disconnected from the ESC and must have been dangling without me knowing it . I will buy a new sensor wire just to make sure. Maybe the sensor connector is just worn out.

thank you guys for the response.
