Default Help with servo decision - need 3.

I'm just getting back in to the hobby after 10 years and need help on servos.

so far all 3 cars are setup with the same electronics (muchmore fleta esc, motors, lipos, and ko propo kr-408 receivers).

Just a few questions..

1. Should I go with brushless servos?
2. Most servos are rated at 7.4, but lipos are 8.4. So what servos should I be looking at.
3. I'm currently looking at Protek RC 160SS low profile - Thoughts?

The 3 cars I will be using them in are Tamiya evo6, TA05v2, and TRF101W (F1).

Thanks in advance.

1. You can go with brushless servos if you want... You will pay a little more. But the 160SS is pretty good. Even the Spektrum 62XX series are really good.

2. Servos rated at 7.4 volts are LiPo compatable. Even though a fully charged LiPo is 8.4V. Your ESC will be the deciding factor. If it is fixed at 6V, you are good. If its adjustable from 6V to 7.7V, and you want to run 7.4V, I would recommend a HV servo ( one rated for 7.4V).

3. Its a good servo. Your budget will really determine what you get, if you are buying all 3 at the same time.

Good luck.
