Need some expertise opinions. I've got a Spectrum S6240 servo connected into a Futuba 4Px and Orion R10.1 ESC with a shorty pack. At random moments I will find the servo performing a high-speed twitch that will to away once I throw the steering in either direction. Not sure what might be the root cause and seeking help.

I've seen spektrums do this. Contact horizon and get it replaced/

How old is the servo? If the servo has some run time on it, there is a chance you might have a worn out first gear, which doesn't allow the servo to find exact center, which then leads to jitters such as you describe.

Socket and Billy T are both correct, sounds like a dead center. I've had 2 spectrums do this, one in my 2wd buggy and another in my 4wd. Horizon replaced them no problem and much easier than replacing gears and chasing a problem.
