Default Lipo battery assistance please?

Hi everyone,

My name is Matt and I live in MO USA. I didn't see an introduction forum so here's mine

I could use some help getting a hold of the correct batteries. What I am powering is actually a flashlight and not an RC car but I need to be able to discharge it at around 40 amps.

I see here it appears that Lipo cells can easily be used at much higher amperage.

Here are my main questions.

1. Can lipo cells be had in 18650 size cells?

2. Can you point me to some reputable sources for them? I cant risk getting any trash for this project.

3. My original plan was just to use loos cells, but if you guys know of somewhere I can get a 4S 4P pack made from these and a charge that would work with that I might consider going that way. The cells would need to be welded long way and not side by side for the S part.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks shortcut.

Does anyone know if tenergy brand packs are any good. Since I cant seem to find the 18650 cells I was thinking about using a pack that I can fit in the same hole. If tenergy are bad then what brands should I be looking at?

I've used Thunder Power batteries and liked them. I talked to them at an r/ trade show and they seemed quite knowledgeable. They make batteries with a lot of cells for airplanes. Check out thunderpowerrc.com and give them a buzz. They'll know if they can give u what u want.
