Charger advice. looking to purchase quickly
#1
Hey everyone. As some of you know I have a very rare & serious nerve condition called CRPS.
Unfortunately, It has resulted in me having to give up racing. I have not been able to even practice for awhile. Last summer I sold a bunch of my stuff to fund medical expenses. A good portion of items I kept were mysteriously "lost" during my move.
I seriously need to get out and run the buggy a bit. However, I need a few items before I can do so. One of the items happens to be a charger. I had a Hitec x4 and it was decent but it also had its issues.
Here is what I'm looking for in a charger. If anyone can help by offering advice on charger options I would greatly appreciate it. I'm an engine guy, not into the whole "what charger is new this week".
What I am looking for ($100 budget / new charger)
1. Must be AC/DC
2. Charge up to 10 amps (or more)
3. Dual port
4. Purchase from within the U.S.
Thanks, Tim

At that budget and your requirements it may be a bit of a tall order, somebody else may have some better options for you but this is about the only thing I found that meets your requirements, and I have just purchased one of these myself. Unfortunately its not in the U.S.

I can go a bit more on budget but not much. I ordered a few items from rcmart and never received them. They would not reply back to emails either. I had to end up filing a paypal claim against them. That is only one of many reasons why I prefer to shop within the U.S.

If your're a member of tower hobbies this might be ok with a member coupon code.

or this looks like it could be very similar to the skyrc one I mentioned if not the very same unit but with hitec scheme

just a few more suggestions for you.

Strange... never had a single problem with rcmart myself on multiple orders. Just customs could be annoying sometimes...
10A? On 2S I presume? That does actually not come all that often in AC/DC chargers. Don't think I've ever seen "more" than that. The dual port requirement makes it even harder. And on your budget... I think the SkyRC D100 is probably your best (maybe only) option. It's also sold on amazon.com or on ebay (prices vary though).

I really like the reedy charger. However, it's hard to justify the $ when I'm not racing anymore. However, I don't want to sit and play the waiting game for packs to charge. I had a single port skyrc charger several years ago and really like it. I'm looking at a couple of dual port skyrc chargers right now.

Get a $70 turnigy reaktor charger from hobbyking and a small power supply of ebay. Around $100 total, will charge at high balanced amperage. They work great for the money, and if/when you decide to upgrade you will already have a power supply.

This is the best you'll get at this price range. I have a 30 amp reaktor charger and this same power supply. Software balancing algorithm works great. Make sure when ordering from hobbyking select the regional US warehouse so it ships to you from a domestic location
