Default radio question

I want to get a radio for my buggy. I'm undecided between two of them. The hitec lynx 4s or the futaba 4px. Can anybody that have used either one or both give me some recommendations?
Thanks
Eric

Go with the 4px. I was in the same dilemma as you. I was looking at the lynx 4s and spektrum dx4r that that seamed kinda cheaply made.
I just bought a new 4px from tower hobbies for 450 with coupon a couple weeks ago, it came with one receiver though. I liked the 4px easy to use menus plus you can get extra receivers cheaper down the road. I bought a couple of aftermarket orangerx fasst receivers and s-fhss receivers from hobbyking.com. for future rc builds. They binded like almost right away. Its still cheaper even if you buy one fasst receiver ( gr400f) for 32-34 $ or 2 s-fhss(gr400s) for 16 dollars each plus a couple bucks for shipping. they are out of stock of the fasst gr400f's because i bought a couple of those lol.
back to the op, I am really impressed with the quality of the display of the futaba 4px.

futabas fasst is also more resistant to interference than most standard afhss/ s-fhss/fhss systems

Thanks for the reply. I have had it in my cart for a while now. I just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. Will it work with marine use as well?

After doing more research I set my Lvc to 3.0 and will see if it hangs up at all. If Lipo batteries are getting wore out will they dip in voltage under high load more than they should?? Hoping that my lipos are still good and it's truly just the common hw issue with having inaccurate voltage readings and cutting off early.

Yes. Internal resistance of lipo cells increase as they age, this will result in more voltage drop for the same supplied current.

They loose some capacity too, which doesn't help.
