I don't know about Paypal when you have a dispute. Paypal more with the merchant, I hear you deal with Paypal, not your CC company it takes longer. Dispute with CC Company it dealt with it right away.

I don't deal to much with Ebay or Paypal cuz of past experience 15 years ago. Ebay & Paypal if read the fine print, you've committed to Item and purchase. First I'd call your CC Company to dispute charges, They look at dispute quicker then Paypal. CC Company take 6 weeks, Paypal 3-4 months.

What I experienced, maybe better now, I don't know.

Paypal favors the buyer 10 to 1 in disputes. Sellers need to be very careful who they deal with these days.

Can you not refund the money once the speakers are returned then open the dispute?

So it took you thirteen years to have one incident with PayPal, and even though they're a business doing exactly what their stated policy is... now you don't like them?

PayPal makes things convenient for both the buyer and the seller. Like anything in life, there are some risks involved. How many buyers have you gained over the years by using their service? Want to try to do the money order only thing now.. good luck with that. They provide a service, you pay them (a %) to use that service... warts and all. As previously stated, PayPal tends to favor the buyer in any given transaction... but you should know that going into any transaction by this point. Deal with it, move on, and good luck with the next transaction.

And two days? You posted Saturday at 9am your time, on the second day after placing an order sometime on Thursday? That's not acceptable?

You have to contact the merchant and try to resolve the problem. Like he said he doesn't have replies from the merchant. Visa, M/C, Discover and AmEx always take their customers first, and investigate quickly. Third party as Paypal is you have to wait. Giving paypal my bank account you're crazy!! At least you can cancel the transaction by your bank. Paypal like Google tracks your every move. Banking online you have control of personal info.

We learn by mistakes!!! It always take once.
