Hello Everyone I Picked Up A Used Team Associated TC3 Electric With A Team Trinity P2K2 Pro Motor. It Is Connected To A Novak Atom ESC. The Problem Is The Power Capacitor Broke Off From A Bad Soldier And Is Not Repairable...I Cannot Find A And Dont Know What Replacement Capacitor For A "NOVAK ATOM ESC" To Get Due To The Kit Novak Suggests For Spare Power Capacitors Seens To Be Discontinued.. i Have Pictures And I Was Wondering If Someone Can Tell Me What Size Or Type Power Capacitor I Can Order & Will Work Fine With My ESC. Please Help Or Any Suggestions Would Be Great THANK YOU!

I see I come here a bit late but if you are still listening ...
I have done this a couple of times, obtain suitable electrolytic capacitor(s).
I would suggest 500-1000microFarad/16v, solder 2 or more in parallel and then solder to the ESC +and - terminals. Electrolytics are polarised so observe the polarity. I would suggest heat shrink the terminals and glue with some flexible glue. The capacitor should be of a decent quality low ESR if you can get them, 105 deg C rated. The ESR and temperature rating is not critical but will make it more reliable.

Easiest for you is to buy something like this http://www.hobbywingdirect.com/produ...acitors-module and solder it to the +- power leads of the ESC

Novak Atom sure it'll be discontinued. Cyclone and Atom maybe 10 years old.
Astro says 500-1000mf 16v. that's good enough. doubling up caps is all over kill. Power caps does one thing in power (Battery). It acts as if another battery. Supplying a constant 6v to ESC.
As old as it is Maintenance of motor, Brushes, truing commutator, springs, & motor caps(suppress sparks w/brushes). Time to upgrade with brushless motor, ESC & lipo's.
If your starting out in hobby, good way to start out, and start a collection. More than me other people will say upgrade, to keep up with the Jone's!!!!
Good Luck!! Have fun!!
