Default led kit vorza

i have a vorza with a 4pls futaba radio. i purchased a gt power light kit. the led kit has 12 leds and split into channel 1 for steering and channel 2 for throttle. my issue is as follows. everything works perfectly but i would like to have the ability to turn the lights on and off. only way for me to do this is to use my electric switch on channel 3 and channel 4. i program the radio accordingly and now i can turn the leds on and off at will. The issue is that since channel 3 and 4 do not receive the same signal from channels 1 and 2 i know lost the reactive led which simulate turning and braking. i can turn the leds on and off but nothing else. i tried to google this problem but let me tell u... figuring out a way to get google to respond correctly to a led rc issue is dam near impossible. i get all kinds of stuff that isnt helpful so i turning to the forum to see if anyone ran into this issue. so in all.... i would like to turn my leds on and off at will with still keeping the reactive driving from the led kit which shows turn signals and brakes when they are used.

I feel your pain. But you want the moon...

Cant be happy just with a gizmo that makes on and off the leds on the remote?

Guess that stuff all need to be on always to work, but with an electronic gizmo do make on and off via remote will make the other brain/gizmo fart when off...

Know what i mean? Or i am thinking badly?

yeah you are right. i was hoping to get everything to work somehow lol at this point i have to choose to always leave the light on so the blinkers work or connect them to another channel and turn them off with the radio but loose the blinks and brakes. sucks there isnt an option out there to solve a issue like this lol

Easy. Get a 5vdc relay and use channel 3 or 4 to turn on the relay. Run the blinkers or brake lights on channel 1 and 2 through the relay. You will need one relay for each channel. You could probably use a single channel (3 or 4) to turn on both relays, but you might need to use ch3 to turn on signals and ch4 to turn on brakes.

Not rocket science, you just have to know electronics.

One possibility:
PicoSwitch radio controlled relay

Ok I'm new to electronics. What you are saying is that each cable which goes from the y adapter to the led control box should now have a relay inbetween that connection. Then i would use the electric switch to activate that relay to bridge the signal so now I gain all functions? Sound about right? Any chance u have a link I can reference with a setup like that?

I think the PicoSwitch or similar can be used to control the power to the kit you have. PicoSwitch example diagram.jpg If you can provide a link to the manual for the kit you have I might be able to help more. I tried looking around a bit but I'm seeing different kits and not any manuals.
