Yep - do this. I had a similar problem and it turned out the sensor cable wasn't plugged into the esc all the way. The cable was slightly short and the chassis flex started to pull it out, this was on a 17.5 buggy. Replaced with a longer cable and the problem went away.

So got to run the car with jumps over the last few days and so far, so good. I think it came down to a loose ESC-to-rx connection. If it becomes a problem again, I'll switch it from a Spektrum plug (stock) to a Futaba plug.

I have a XR10 stock spec and using it in VTA with a R1 V16 25.5 motor. The rsc worked fine in my 17.5 TC. After about 2 to 3 minutes it loses power. The light on the esc starts flashing green instead of red. If I turn it off and back on it will flash red and run fine for a couple of minutes. Checked data on esc and it shows 34000rpms, if it is running right it shows about 17000 rpms. Tried turning off low voltage and thermal sensors in esc and it did not help. Tried running it on bench for about 6 or 7 minutes and it did not do it.
Any suggestions?

Change sensor cable , reload software from usb link and re-calibrate radio to esc and all will go back to normal.

How is the esc compare to Sanwa Super Vortex Gen 2 Pro?

As much of a Sanwa fan as I am, in my mind they just aren't an ESC company. Great radios, good servos - that's all they are for me. My first Hobbywing XR-10s however, have convinced me so much, that I started to put them into my whole off-road fleet.

Just in case I missed it, anyone using this ESC with the V10 G3?

Quick question? Not sure if this has been asked but will ask again.
Today on my xr10 pro when turning it on, I used mt 2mm mip driver and as I pressed the button down, I accidentally shorted the driver across the fan/setup prongs. There was some sparks. Speed control continued to work but when I pressed the button the motor turned off but the speedo fan and servo kept running. Had to turn it off by unplugging battery.
I was able to go through the setup process and use speed control properly, it just won’t shut off with the button.
anything I can do to fix or reset it it? Or just be thankful it works 98%. Lol
