Always wondered when someone would do this. About four or five years ago I took a Tekin RS out of its case and mounted it directly to end bell side of the motor in my 1/12th car. It just fit nicely into the pod. I was kind of surprised it didn't compromise the handling that much either. It will be good to see how well this works.

I read the review on BigSquidRC about a month ago. When they tested the Kyosho Charger. Sounded good. Bit low for me, but have couple little dude friends that it might be good for.
Hobby store has the Dynamite version in stock. Price seems good. Be interested to read how it goes.

Cool. Now installed. Hope to test this on indoor track soon. Though it isn't a race car but still. Will change tires to radials.

For 1/8 scale this would be propably nice to too if they can fit it. And as sensored. I don't think this one is sensored.

Hi, got some track time yesterday. The track was relatively small so the testing was a bit limited. Obviously this dDrive was more powerful than the old stock Orion ONE 2400kv as expected. Other than that not much to report, no issues and driving was fun. Can recommend as an option to anyone that does not need hi-end / race electronics and likes a simple configuration: less wires, less components => really easy install/removal from the car.

Sounds good. I've got a extra brushed Vaterra that could use an upgrade.

OK, decided to update the body as well.

Actually I bought two HPI bodies and did them this morning, here's the other:

Now I have to buy another dDrive for the Mac to accompany the Porsche

Bodies need a little bit trimming still. Not perfect but I'm happy with the result.

How are you liking this system so far?

I'm thinking about putting the dDrive's Dynamite Tazer Twin 3000kV sibling onto a Vaterra V100 I traded for a couple weeks back and can't find much of anything for either system.
