Default ESC pluged wrong, can it be revived?

Hey, guys, I got a speed passion PRO from a member here. When I was trying to test it... I accidentally reverse the plug, so positive of ESC went to native battery and negative of ESC went to positive battery.
The ESC seems to be programmable after that.. But it is acting weird when pluged in the car. It will only be powered up for 10 seconds and overheat itself, and shit down on its own.
Does this mean my ESC is completely dead? Is there a way to revive it?
It is a good ESC, sigh...

You can revive it by sending it in to have it fixed...there is nothing you can do to make it work again. Take it as a lesson learned.

I give you props for posting that it was your mistake and not that the seller sold you a burned out esc , unfortunetly a lot of people would try to get over and blame someone else for a heir mistake. Good for you and I hope you get it fixed. I've sent stuff back to SP and sometimes if it's a small thing they don't even charge me. Good luck

Did it let the magic smoke out? Once it's let out it needs to go back.
I call it magic because it must make it work, once it's let out it doesn't work any more.
