Was hoping one of the Maclan folks could lend some advice on what the next step should be.
You might want to contact their customer service through their website. They don't have seem to hop on here as often and it's not the best way to get info from them in a timely manner.

I just want to give an update on my experience with the V2 team edition 13.5 now that I've had a lot of runs on it.

Close to 40 packs in with it and even doing some 12-15 minute stress tests back to back, it has taken it all and more without losing speed or torque. On one of those runs I got that baby up to 175f internally after 15 minutes of hard driving. And when I let it cool down to go back out again all of the torque and speed were still there and ready to pull my wheeler down the straight . And all of this without using a fan on my motor or my ESC. Not recommended but I'm not worried with the Maclan. It has been on point from day one. Just make sure you gear it right. I went a little high and that is why I had that 175f. After going down two teeth it was in the 140-150 range.

I'm imagine there will be a v2 but I think it'd make it too expensive to give them the full v2 treatment lol.

Does the V2 keep up with the Motiv, R1, Fantom V3 etc? Looking at buying a new motor. I have a V1 MRR Team Edition at the moment that seems quite a bit slower than the newer motors that the guys at my club are running.

It more than keeps up. I went from the Motiv MC2 to the Maclan and couldn't be happier. The KV rating is on par with the other motors but the bottom end is much better.

More usable power throughout the RPM range, especially with the 21.5.
The 17.5 is just an animal.

Wish the SCT 4x4 mod speed controls were out. Tekin or Hobbywing, yuk. Can not find the old Orion, and don't like the new one.

I'm running a 17.5 v2 in stock Buggy, and stock truck. Love them. 13.5 v2 in 4x4 buggy and 2wd shortcourse, also love them. The 4150 in my Tekno sct410.3, the shaft is a bit short, so only have the pinion about 3/4 of the way on the main gear, but still love the motor.

I was surprised last weekend. My older Team version of the 13.5, I tried in my stock truck. It was slow. Borrowed a 13.5 v2 from my 4x4 buggy, very noticeable.

Big thumbs up for excellent customer service! My MMax Pro malfunctioned and getting looked at a fixed was a smooth experience. Completed RMA on the Maclan site, mailed the ESC in on a Wed. They received it and had it fixed by Sat. Even sent me a video link of the functional test. ESC is now on its way back to me and scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so basically 1 week from door to door.
