Judging by the results of the king of street, maclan is doing something right with the drag racing components. Hopefully. They can expand that to all of their product lines.

Hi everyone. I have a mmax pro and I'd love to know if the delay I have in mine is normal. When I use reverse, I have to wait until all wheels have stopped moving before being able to go forward again... Can I disable that feature??

Thanks

if u go into the setting through a computer under the basic tab u can choose forwar/reverse options. not sure about the mamba max pro but I have the mamba x and there is a crawler specifc option there that gives u instant reverse. the default wait 2 sec in neutral that u r experiencing is meant to save your driveline.

I don't have a mamba6max, I have a maclan mmax pro. I know what you mean about the mamba... Anyone else?

Looking at the smart link app, I'm not seeing an option to disable the 2 second delay. Practice mode is the only thing that allows you to even use reverse on a maclan esc. https://www.maclan-racing.com/user-manual/ going through the manuals, I don't see anything that would disable that setting either. You could send an email to them to see if there is a hidden setting.

Looks like Maclan is getting their own brand of xt90
. I'm not sure why they are going this route since most racers are using the bullets.
Did anyone notice their 160a esc was in stock at amain, and it was out of stock almost as quickly?

Will the above rotor fit and work in my MRR V2 17.5?

Regards. 'AC'

Good question, send maclan an email, and get back to us.

In other news, they just showed off their new 200a esc, and 8th scale motors.

https://www.maclan-racing.com/produc...-8th-200a-esc/

I got a kick out of the esc being listed as not for drag racing

Well, this is interesting. Looks like the factory messed up some drk esc

Tebo leaving Maclan... that's a surprise with the new 8th scale stuff just coming out.

Also surprising that they couldn’t wait just another month or two for Silly Season. Oh well.

The wording in his IG post seem to imply he was dropped and it might have been a surprise to him.

Well they were recently sued by Traxxas and more recently have recalled the DRK’s for issues so it sounds financial to me. Or are they simply putting all of their eggs into one basket with the 2 old guys who do all of their drag racing promoting since Maclan isn’t really doing anything impressive in anything else

I just picked up an m32t pico 100 for my local stock buggy class and I'm having issues connecting my phone to the esc. I've updated the esc to the latest firmware from my PC however when I connect the esc to my phone it shows up as headphones and doesn't connect to the app (see screenshot). My phone is a OnePlus 8t if that makes any difference. Are there any settings on my phone I have to adjust to be able to connect it to the esc? Thanks in advance!

Is the yellow light illuminated on the Bluetooth module(required to connect to mobile phones) when connected? I had to disconnect the receiver wire from the esc to make it work.
