Default batterys

ok so i got ni-mh ac/dc peak charger 1-8 cell but it only charges at 2A on ac & 4A on dc now if i use 4A dc charge will it charge faster than 2A ac & will the 4A dc also give the rc more power than a 2A ac charge pls reply i must know lol

I'm not sure what you are asking, but if you are charging at 2A regardless of AC or DC, you will charge slower than 4A.

The only difference between AC and DC is that for AC you are using the charger's internal transformer to step down 120v to 12v. If you are using DC, then you are using 12V without step down. The charger circuit is the same.

BTW, for NiMH sport packs, I only charge at 1C, meaning 2A for 2000mAh battery packs, 4A if 4000mAh. I only use 2000mAh NiMH for shorter charge times since I only use them for bashing or testing initial setups.

Assuming typical sub C sized cells, yes and yes. At 4 amps yes it will charge faster, around half the time. And in general yes it will have a little more power but likely sacrifice a little run time. At least to a point, what battery and charger do you have?

If you have typical 1/10 scale packs, sub C cells, a little smaller than a C sized alkaline cell, you should be good to go.
