Guess no one is running these motors......
Tried one this past weekend. 17.5 RPM edition. Geared at 3.86 w/ 50 deg on the can. Motor ran strong to start, but faded at the end. Granted I don't have the best fan pointed at the motor at the moment (spare). Tried 45 degrees also. Ran about the same with less heat. Next time out I'll drop a tooth on the Pinion and test between 45/50 timing and see what happens. Not blown away by the motor, but not down on it either. - Jose |
Not sure why more aren't running these motors. All the rage has been the R1 Wurks but local guy has been beating the snot out of everyone running a Gen3 in 17.5.

My Gen3 17.5 should be coming tomorrow can't wait to try it.

Love my 21.5 RPM GEN3 for USGT.
Can't wait for to try the yellow.hi torque rotors once they become available. |
I'm running a TLR 22 3.0 with a Gen 3 17.5 RPM in 1/10 blinky. The track is indoor clay. I love it. My car is solid. I have no problems clearing any of the jumps with a short run up and I'm motoring on the straightaway.
