Wow that changes my view on deans for sure. They were always a pain to solder.
Not sure how adding more solder joints into the wiring really helps the bottom line on quality. Maybe easier to do, but that is not same as better.

I've switched pretty much everything to EC5 now. Handle everything you can throw at it, no exposed spark when connecting up and doesn't deform.

Yep, EC5 are the ones I've been using for 1/8 scale for years but for 1/10 scale, I've always stuck to Traxxas connectors.
