Hi Guys,
I keep getting an error on my charger that reads: 'Battery voltage error: cell connect'.
I'm using an IMAX B6AC charger. The problem only occurs with one of my batteries. Its a Turnigy Nano Tech 2S 5600mAh. My other batteries are charging fine. The first time it happened the battery was on balance charging for a couple of minutes before the error appeared. Now it happens as soon as I put it on charge.
What does this error mean and how can I fix the battery?
Cheers
Ryan

One of the cells are low. you may have the cut off voltage to low or ran it too long. Your charger have a balancing you can check which cells is low. Set charger for nimh batteries set voltage .05v, watch balancing voltage the low cell reads 2.8-3,0v. reset your charger for lipo. charger will move to charge mode. When to charge lipo in nimh you got to babysit, do it manually stop charging every 30 seconds. until an average of # of cell 3.0v. Error on charger lipo wont charger until average of cell is 3v.
Good luck!!

Might also be a broken wiring or connection issue. As Geezatec mentioned go to the screen that shows the individual cell voltages. Likely one will either be lower than 3V as mentioned, or will read 0 if a connection is broken.

Had the same problem after recently connecting my 7150 2 cell Revtech battery backward in one of my cars,(the hazards of direct connect bullets). Turned out the battery has what I call a fuse link in it on the circuit board inside at the bottom of the balance lead connection. I dropped a little solder on the trace and all was well.
It was fully charged and I was wondering why it didn't zap my electronics. I run an old style Tekin RS Pro which might be protected as well. Probably won't be as lucky if I make that mistake again since I've now defeated the fuse link. Car worked fine with different battery.
Not sure if all batteries have this but I doubt it. Seems like it would be a good advertising tool. Of course it would still mean a new battery if you didn't want the hassle of opening it and repairing it but still cheaper than most electronics.
