Default RC4 not counting laps

I bought a transponder not long ago and it stopped working randomly one race day. Contacted MyLaps with no suggestions and just asked to submit a repair form. Is there anything I can do to try and save this thing before I send it back? Im not sure if their turn around time but I definitely need it now, and I didn't expect it to stop counting after only may 5 races or so. It is still blinking and on a rare instance will pick up on the box but its been tried at 3 different tracks in multiple vehicles to no avail. Any suggestions?

I asked about repair a while back and they said they can't be repaired, only replaced for the price of a new one. Go figure!!!

Is it a 2 or 3 wire? I only buy the 2 wire because I've never heard of one of those not working.

Its a 3 wire lux, I bought 2 at the same time and the one in my RB6 has been counting great without a hiccup to speak of
