If you crash once whatever performance gain you had by doing this is now gone.

Are you saying that driving the car will not discharge battery fast enough to heat the pack before recharging.?

That is a big YES. You need to discharge at roughly 40+ amps then immediately charge at roughly 40+ amps. It also needs to be timed to finish charging right before you go out to run. As the pack cools the effects are being lost. Like I said if you crash once all this doesn't matter.

It's a very tricky thing trying to get it all heated and timed right. If you are racing anything but spec oval I'd say it's pointless. The kind of racing where .01 of a second is a win or loss is only time it will really make a difference

Ok that really makes sense..why ruin my packs when i dont need too haha. Good ill charge my packs at the usaul 1 to 2c rate and be happy and not crash !!!

A few guys at the track I go to are charging packs at 70amps with the 4010 duo. I have the same charger but I'm not a good enough driver to see the benefit of doing this.
