Default Can a charger be fixed?

My Trakpower vr-1 charger stopped working in the middle of charging a battery. I ran over and unplugged it and it was really hot, so I assume it overheated.

Can an overheated charger be fixed?
Its a very expensive item and I would hate to throw it away.

If your are trying to fix it yourself I would recommend getting your electrical engineering degree first....

Kidding, but only a little.

Point taken.

imprsme I did contact them. They will sell me one at half of the official msrp price...which is $300. Im definitely not going to pay $150 for another one of these after this one burned out for no reason.

If you are replacing it take a look at iCharger. I have their 406 duo and it has put every charger I have ever had in its place.
