Default Lipo not holding a charge

Not sure of how to phrase this

Had to move two years ago. Packed up the rc room and moved to Arizona
Due to the living situation, the rc boxes stayed unpacked for two years
This week I started unpacking them and I'm having issues with my batteries

The lipos balance charge fine. They stop at 4.19-4.20 no issues
They will discharge to 3.85
But when I put them in my SCT and run them. I get about 120 seconds of WOT before the battery is fully discharged and it won't run anymore

Are these batteries destroyed or is there a way to recover from this?
Thanks for any advice or tips

Maybe try to cycle charge them a couple of times and see how much MAh goes out and is put back in. Sounds like they are going to need to be replaced though.

It's weird. Two hours on the discharge. They went to about 3.75.
Then I put them to balance charge and within minutes were up to 4.15

Likely because the internal resistance is way up. That's exactly how my older packs react. I tried cycling just as an experiment, didn't seem to improve any. Lipos degrade with age, one of those use them or lose them deals best I can tell. Especially bad if stored fully charged.

Internal resistance for sure. If the voltage on charge quickly jumps up, that's usually a strong indicator of an IR issue. Think of internal resistance as you putting a crimp in a garden hose. Partially crimped, water flows, but not very fast. Your slow discharge was a slow flow. Running on your truck, it wanted a lot and the battery couldn't deliver.

Replacement is your only option.
