Dynamite Fuze brushless combo is like ON/OFF switch

Stormer Hobbies had the Dynamite Fuze 4800kv motor/ESC combo for $69 the other day during Cyber Week. It came in Saturday, but I just now had time to try it today. I followed the directions to sync my transmitter to the ESC and then changed the battery cut-off setting for lipo with the program card. I've done this about 5 times now and the thing is like an on/off switch.

Best way I can put it is imagine you have a 1:1 car and the softest you can take off is neutral dropping it at 5k RPM but will rev smoothly from there to redline.

I've had a couple Castle Sidewinder v2s, a few various brushed ESCs, Hobbywing 60A, Hobbywing SC8, and currently have a Hobbywing 150A in my Inferno GT and have never had any issues setting them up with my transmitter (FlySky GT3B). Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe try using expo.

Does the esc have a minimum throttle or punch setting? If so, drop it.

Yeah, its set to "1/softest". I wanted to set it up that way until I saw how it ran before putting too much through the Stealth tranny. Its been rebuilt, but I didn't want to have to rebuild it again too soon.

Did you double check that all your trims/expos/epas were at their appropriate 0 or 100 setting when starting the ESC setting procedure?

I finally had enough time to play around with different settings. It was originally calibrated with the trims/expos/epas set as it said to in the manual. I finally got it to work properly by setting my throttle expo to -25 after the calibration. Now I can actually go less than 1/2 throttle.
