Default RX/Servo HELP

Hey all, i am just getting into nitro 1/8 scale truggy. Got an 8ight-t 3.0. My question is should i go with a lipo pack and run hi-power servos? Or should i go LiFe and run standard servos? From what i have seen the high power servos offer more power and speed, and from what i understand tourque is something you need in an 1/8 truggy. Any feedback would be awesome!

Everyone at my track runs lipo. The servos are faster and will have more power because of the extra voltage. Pay attention to your voltage though because if you run the battery too low, you can ruin it. 3.7 volts per cell is about as low as you want to go. Of course, make sure your servos and reciever are rated for lipo. Sometimes the documentation with recievers is a little confusing because they will say "nominal voltage 7.4 volts". If it says that your ok to run lipo, even though a full lipo is 8.4 volts.

I don't know much about LIFE other than they have less voltage.

Its a late reply but thanks! I ended up going with high voltage and lipo. Got a radiopost servo on a black friday deal from amain. Thing puts out something like 400oz/in of torque. May be overkill, but i like the peace of mind of knowing the wheels are gonna turn when i tell them to.
