Default Battery Question

Ok so my 2s Lipo was not charged for awhile, so i decide to try and charge it. My charger said the batteries were at a full charge and only lasted like 4 minutes in my qual then cut out. Today i decided to try and discharge them and try to charge them again. My charger said they were at 6.4v and I tried charging them back up and it went straight to 8.4v. Is this my charger or battery i am so confused.

Sounds like it may have a bad cell. Try to use a friends charger to see if it causes the same issue. If it does then it is the battery, if not then its most likely the charger.

I've seen a bad connector do things like this. It's probably the battery or charger but couldn't hurt to check that out first.

I have a Venom 2S lipo and the balancing wire has a short in it. I have to wiggle the wire a little bit because I'll get a "CHECK VOLTAGE" error.

if your charger doesn't show each individual cells voltage try using a volt meter on the balance connector to read the cells. Sounds like you have a dead cell. I did have a venom 2s lipo that sometimes would cut out for no reason though and i replaced the deans end and it seemed to fix the problem temporarily. They replaced the battery under warranty and haven't had problems since
