Questions?? Mamba Max Pro issues?

I recently bought a used car with a MMP and Trinity D3 13.5 turn. I have two issues:

1) Im having a bunch of issues arming the ESC and when i do it seems to lose reverse. And then...when i plug the battery in(on/off bypassed)...it takes nearly 45 seconds to setup so i can run.

2) how do i setup the drag brake? im running dirt oval and as soon as i let off the throttle im spinning out b/c of the drag brake being so aggressive.

Help!!

all of this is in a Proline Pro2 - SkyFly GT2 Radio/receiver

thanks in advanced

Do you have a castle link? If you do back the firmware back to 1.28 or 1.29
You need the castle link to set the drag brake. You might be able to change the brake with a program card, but you really need to try changing the firmware.

Be sure to restore defaults with the castle link also. Before making any changes.

Their newer firmware does not work well with the MMP
The order to make changes that work best

Change firmware
Reset defaults
Make changes on each page, saving before changing pages
recalibrate

Did you buy it new? If so it should have a mail in coupon for a castle link. If you bought it used you will need this...

Or go to your local track or Hobby Shop & see if they can make the changes for you.

Default Flysky radio with Castle ESC's

I personally have the Flysky radio and I love it. I also have most of the Castle ESCs and products. However, I have noticed that the Flysky radio has a hard time arming the Castle esc's. The esc can detect the number of lipo cells but it does not arm, if it does arm it takes a long while. Using other esc such as Novak and Tekin with the Flysky also has a hard time arming. I believe the problem is with the flysky radio having a very narrow neutral position and that can be problematic for esc's to locate the neutral position and thus has a hard time arming.

Solution: get a spectrum dx4c radio, cheap and very easy to use. Futaba, sanwa are also great radios.
