Tom, it's supposed to be a "full spektrum light". I think it is fluorescent. Works well, and the price is good.
I currently have an old fluorescent one that has worked well for 10 years. It is old & the fixture itself is just about had id so that looks like a good option. But I might try one of these. (yes I will have to make a stand) http://www.hsn.com/products/what-a-l...-light/7245054 Has anyone used one yet? |

You could make your own pit light. I took a old light I bought from the big box store years ago for 19.00 and took out all the guts and the weak 13 watt florescence bulb and added 54 extra bright led's which now I can run it off my power supply. The only bad thing about it, is now I have to put on sunscreen before I turn it on. LOL

Speeddaddy, your attachment doesn't seem to pull-up. Can you look at it, as I'd be interested in seeing what you put together

http://www.officemax.com/office-furn...ct-prod3300015 I didn't know they had a small supply of them and I guess I bought them all:lol: http://www.rctech.net/forum/12798986-post13.html I'll never buy a LED desk lamp again. the one I got at home depot lasted about 6 months and 1/2 the leds were dead. it started out flickering until they wouldnt come on anymore. I paid like $45 for that pos too. at least these florescent lights have replaceable bulbs. and you can get them in different light spectrum styles. they came with a "full spectrum" style bulb. about as close to real sunlight as you can get it looks like. |

I made a post last year about that light. except it was made by tensor and they were selling them for $10 shipped.

I have the muchmore and the new skyrc led pit lights. Both are excellent and fold up to fit in my pit box easily. Both take next to nothing to run off my powersupply either! The muchmore looks nicer but the skyrc seems to be slightly brighter.

I know it's an old thread but pit lights come and go..
Has anyone good or bad to say about the Arrowmax pit lamp? It looks great but how does it work and how long does the battery last? |
