Default Digital servo semi non-responsive

Hey folks I have a Turnigy Nitro Rumble buggy, yesterday I had the steering servo go out on me so I decided to upgrade to a digital waterproof servo. Only problem is the servo is non responsive when I apply throttle or brake. Servo works like a charm when I just steer so I know it is responding to the Tx/Rx. What is causing this? Do I need to buy a second matching digital servo for the throttle?
