Default Airtronics question??

Hey guys. I am planeing to change to the Airtronics M12 or something from Airtronics for my birthday soon. I currently run a Futaba 4pls. But I don't really like it that much! Anyway, I notice that the M12 comes with a RX-471 reciver...but I was also saw the MT4-S. I want a radio that will do me best for indoor electric, outdoor electric and nitro! Now I see that the MT4-s is n enhanced version of the first MT4, is the M12 better then the MT4-s?? Or is it the other way around?? If you guys could help me choose a good radio for semi-pro level racing at big events, that would be cool! Thanks guys!

The M12 is the top of the line surface model for sanwa/airtronics. The latency of the M12 is really low which make this radio very responsive. With that being said, the MT4-S is advertised to have the same latency as the M12. I do believe that depending on your needs, the MT4-S will definitely do a great job and will be a huge step up from your current radio in terms of feel and performance. The M12 has all the bells and whistles and comes with a really tiny receiver. The receiver that come with the MT4-S is a bit larger.

The M12 is very heavy I'd go the MT4S it'll do everything you need it to, I ran one for ages but run a Futaba now, but I agree the 4pls is rubbish (I have one as a back up and use it as a last resort only)

I have an mt4 thats a year old and it is the best radio that I've ever had. Its so light compared to my other airtronics radios. It doesn't have a backlight so the display is hard to see in dark areas. There is a back light kit online for this radio if you are handy with electronics. I don't think you can tell the difference in response time in other radios. I have used temp probe and at first I had the warning temp set to low. It is loaded with all kinds of features that I will probably never use. If your on a buget then this is the one to get but of need all the bells and whistle go to mt4s or spend 200 dollars more the m12.

+1 on the MT4. The M12 is the ultimate in surface radios right now. I don't think its really that heavy, heavier than the MT4 but its perfectly fine for me! If you can get down to your LHS or track and see if you can hold both and see what you prefer in your hands.
