Why does the package come with a 12v PS when you need a 24v PS to fully utilize the charger? Am I missing something?

they have some interesting combos dont they?

i assume they are trying to get a combo that fits everyone and not have to redesign a whole new charging foundation.

the 12v for those who dont need high volt capability
i talked with manny (open hobby) a month or so back and he says a 24v is in the works and it will be in the same form factor so it will be a direct plug in to the polarons
along with that is a 1400 w polaron charger upcoming
then the polaron ex by itself so we can use what ever psu we want
then polaron pro that has one 400 w channel and then a second channel that does 40 w for nicad nimh

this way consumers can get exactly what they want when they have the entire line up and available

With the power supply connected can you still use the front outlets say for a nitro engine warmer?

Default Charge two batteries of different chemistries simultaneously.

Can you charge two batteries of different chemistries simultaneously on the Graupner Polaron EX 800W Charger? Specificaly I would like to charge my LiPo on channel 1 and LiFe on channel 2.

Yes! I have charged my LiFe battery for my radio, and a 2s 7.4 LiPo at the same time without any issues.

I tried everything mentioned here to update the charger no luck what a PITA for this day and age. Think my old comodore 64 was easier to use then that crappy updater.

Need some help here guys I got the master to upgrade but the slave keeps stopping and the red 1 keeps flashing. Any ideas I tried it a few times only for the same thing to happen

What's the master and slave thing all about anyway. Can I use it with only the master updated?

Hi there, sorry to bring up an old thread,

have just brought one of these combos from tower, couple questions from a noob,

1, what is best way to balance the lipo's? can i just go to balance mode and do it that way or does it balance while charging?

2, is there anyway of changing the power supply screen to read degrees rather then fahrenheit?

apart from that, awesome bit of kit, that definitely turns heads at the track

Cheers, Sam

You mean fahrenheit to celcius. They both read in degrees.

Hi there, yes thats what i was meaning, i done a bit more research and found they cant be changed with out opening case and re soldering certain wires around etc, so will leave that,

just thought i would ask about the balancing because, under normal charge my lipo's seem to be a bit out once charge is complete.

Cheers,
Sam.
