Sanwa MT4 - RX-461 Binding HELP!!!
Hi I just got a Sanwa MT4 with RX-461 for my HPI Vorza. I have properly bind the radio to the RX-461 and I can steer but CANNOT throttle. I shaved off the default HPI servo to fit into the receiver which works perfect. I also bought a KO Propo 30106 servo which I will later shave.
I switched the ESC plug with the servo. So the servo went to throttle and ESC to steering and it worked BUT obviously the throttle on the radio acted as left/right and the steering on the radio did forward/backward which is obviously dumb. How do I fix this issue? The Blur ESC just keeps blinking red. According to rogerhobbycenter castle ESC troubleshoot the red blinking light on the ESC means: 1) ESC not calibrated. 2) Radio on partial reverse or 3) ESC is on full reverse. I checked and re-checked the radio and its all on ZERO. I mean there is a huge LCD on the radio that tells me that there isn't any input. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong? |
1) If you put the servo in the esc channel and the servo works then the RX works fine and the fault is in the esc.
2) What esc do you have ? |
Double check that your throttle and brake EPAs on the radio are at 100% and recalibrate the ESC.
|
I'm not sure if the MT-4 has SHR or SSR channel modes but if it does then make sure they are set to NOR, then rebind and re-calibrate the esc.
|
EPAs are all on 100% :(

Okay its the trim. Its on +60 throttle. Anyone has any idea how do i set it to 0 for throttle and reverse now?
|
Trim switch number 2 (TRM 2) around the outside of the wheel should be your throttle trim. Just click it until you reach 0. You should also go into your menu and check your sub trim and make sure it's zeroed out also on the throttle channel. Menu item number 10 labeled TRIM has your trim and sub trim adjustments.

Hey i did +60 on the throttle trim so that the ESC would stop blinking. So if i drop the trim to 0 its gonna do reverse. The +60 is the throttle neutral point. How to i set the trim to 0 and not get my Vorza to move?

Set the trim to zero and recalibrate the ESC.

So, go into the radio REV settings and change the throttle to the other selection. If it's on NOR change it to REV. If it's on REV, change it to NOR. Do you have a manual for the radio?
|
I would just swap 2 of the motor wires on the ESC if the motor is running in reverse when forward throttle is applied.
|
Fixed with castle link. Swapped motor direction. :)
|
And the message here is if at first you don't succeed the read the bloomin' manual!! It's not just packing material to be left in the box ya know!
|
neh bro the manual is good for maintenance not tech issues. Forums do help. I read through forums about hard swapping the wires but I played around the castle app to fix it. cheers.
