Rock crawler motor?
#1
Hello,
This is my Tamiya land cruiser and it has the stock 55 turn brushed motor with a duratrax intellispeed ESC And I want to upgrade. I am going to buy a new traxxas slash 4x4 so I plan on upgrading that to a castle creations brushless system and I am going to use the VXL-3s in my crawler but I want to stick with a brushed motor. My biggest question is what motor would you recommend? Has anyone used a traxxas 12T Titan motor in a crawler? Do they have enough torque? I am looking at a website called Holmes hobbies they have a nice selection of brushed motors but are pretty pricey. I like their Torquemaster sport and so far that is the motor I've decided on. Let me know what you think. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Most brushed motors work good from a reputable company. Tekin, Novak , Holmes Hobbies etc. I've used alot of the integy motors also. 35t and 45t on 2s works good 45t and 55t works good on 3s also. Ive ran the titan 12t in a venom creeper on 2s and for some reason it worked great but when I tried it in an axial it didnt like it. Also the stock axial ae2 and 27t motor works pretty good for trail running.
