I got one of mine installed. I switched out the rotor for a Certified 12.5 HT rotor. Set up the gearing and timing where I ususally run my D3.5's and Kill Shots. Did some runs on the street since im not able to race for another week. This motor rips! It's really fast!. My friend and fellow Serpent teamate TQ'd by 3 seconds last night on his first outing with it. I cant wait to hit the track with it.

Hey dude, just ordered the motor from trincorp and then a certified 12.5 HT from amain earlier today. was gonna get a 1435+ pro select rotor from fantom initially, but figured i might as well bang out some parts too all in one order. how are you setting timing/gearing? i currently have a killshot double torque that i have in an rb6 with 57/58 degrees timing that i have geared at 66/32. Same ballpark for initial setup? thanks for the help and the info

You definitely wont be disapointed. I run Serpents and the gear ratio is 2.43 but im not sure what the RB6 is so you may need to adjust things for your buggy. Depending on track size I gear 27-30/70 and set my timing so the motor is pulling 10 amps on the meter. On the Kill Shot this was around the 68 mark and on the D4 im getting it a little past the halfway point of 50 and 60 (probably 57). I would get your gearing straight and start at 50 then do some laps and check temps. If all is good turn it up a touch and do some more laps while checking temps. This should get you the power you are looking for.

For the people that ordered one, did you all get a tracking number or any confirmation that it has shipped? i didnt get any info like that. if someone can please lemme know, that would be totally rad. thank you.

Any inline watt meter will work. It goes between the lipo and the esc. Trinity sells one and Hobbyking has one really cheap. The MMS is good to if you want to spend the money. When you do the test you want to make sure the battery is fully charged. Also make sure to remove your rear wheels. Then turn on your esc and give it full throttle to see where it peaks at. Usually 10 amps is where you want to be then adjust your gearing for temps.
