Yes but he is asking about gearing using a 72 tooth spur gear. You are using a 69. I would rather advise someone to start low and work there way up then to max it out and possibly harm the equipment.

I emailed Trinity, no response yet.

What are you stock SC guys using for a set up with the d4,gearing,timing? Also are you using a cooling fan on the motor

Proudly Reedy powered:tire:

I also bought a D4 from Trackside which did not work. Also bought a Reedy too. I went to the Trinity website and did the email support deal. They had a new sensor board out to me in two days. Put the new board in and motor works fine.

I still haven't heard a peep out of Trinity, no surprise though.

Mine is running good, Fantom no issues. Like engine can boost at 55, coming off 155, going to try sweep body and see if the lowers temp since open more back by motor.

I am looking at running one of these in 4wd stock in Australia. Would setting it up the same with 10-12 amp draw still work. Thanks

8th scale sized track I went to 69/40 with 20 degrees timing. 10th track I'm at 69/36 45 timing. These motors like high gearing over high timing imo.

D4 17.6 MAXZILLA vs Killshot 17.5 Maxzilla

Anyone have an opinion on one vs the other? Want to go with the new but is there a big difference KV between the two? Thanks
