Drop Down
Sorry, I'm using the drop down. I highly recommend the drop down and the angle adapter. Both are available from HiTec for an extremely reasonable price.

Battery Settings
You could try powering up with the NiCd battery, then changing the battery settings to LiFe. Power down and then try powering up with the LiFe battery. That's the only think I can think of (assuming you confirmed the LiFe battery is charged).

Is the Lynx 4s discontinued? It is not for sale on Amain or Horizon any longer.

you have to change the battery type in the menu setup.

I just bought a used one with extra receivers because I couldn't buy new receivers and I love my Lynx 4S.

I'm still bummed they aren't made any more. Mine is six years old and has started draining the transmitter battery really quickly for some reason. Tried replacing the lipo thinking it had a cell going bad, but the new pack does it as well. Then it ran the pack down to zero volts per cell even though the switch was off. Not sure which radio to try now. I have never liked Futaba, and the new Sanwa stuff is getting to be kinda janky. Thought about the Flysky PRO, but see a lot of people having constant issues with them too. Maybe I'll give KO a try.

Did you switch the battery type to lipo in the battery screen type? I am using Airtronic M11 an11x with fm and 2.4 modules. Plenty of Rx's out there but the radios iare only 3 channels. I was looking at the Radio link 8x but the telemetry sucks. I won't touch a Futaba 10x. The telemetry is too expensive to buy for each model. Spectrum dropped the 6r pro. The Hitec lynx 4S with proton wasI thought going to be it. for me.

Curious what issues people are reporting for FlySky? I have a Noble NB4 and it's been doing great for me, my son still races with the Lynx 4S and I plan to make that a loaner Tx for a track rental. I also have a Graupner X8-E as another backup system.
I can't decide which of these 3 systems are the best
I have raced with Radiopost, KO Propo, Futaba and Sanwa in the past ... honestly performance is a wash, it just comes down to personal preference on weight, feel and features like timer, lap counter telemetry, etc...
