Default esc shuts down when steering

Hey guys, I have a strange electrical issue that came out of nowhere.

While driving my new losi 8ight e 3.0 for about the 30'th time the car suddenly acts as though its having a seizure while steering and the receiver lights flash from red to green or indicating on and off.

My setup:

castle mamba monster 2 esc
castle bec
savox 1258
tqi (traxxas) reciver and remote

I was told a glitch buster was not needed when using the external bec so im confused as to what causes the car to loose steering suddenly..

Try a different servo. Savox are known to draw a lot of current which may be causing you're brown out.

I agree. It's got to be somewhere between your servo and bec. Either your servo is drawing huge amps or your bec is on it's way out.

update, and thanks for the replies. I tested a hitech 7950 and no issues at all, reconnected the savox 1258 and issue remains... might a glitch buster be my next step? or possibly my external castle bec has an issue? I thought the external bec would be wiser than stressing the receiver with a cap.

Thanks!

Wild guess, did you remove the red wire from the ESC servo lead going to the receiver?

Or just use the 7950?

Yes the red wire is disconnected. Also the hitec is for my erevo which needs the torque where as the savox for speed in my buggy. I'm thinking the bec might be the cause, well hope as it's Cheeper to replace.

Is it a Castle BEC? What voltage did you set it at?

Not sure why everyones thinking capacitor when you're using an external BEC already....
