XPTSI-4431- Maybe 10 times down to track. Starting to develop play when in neutral position causing excessive steering slop. Is this normal ? Typical Maintenance ? Part #?
|
Hmm that don't sound like a good thing at all.

Looking at the low profile 3431 versus 3402 for a 2wd buggy. What are the real differences here and would they be noticeable?

on carpet, it would be noticeable... on dirt, less..
depends of what you like for example i personnally prefer more torque and less speed on super high grip surface |

Just wanted to say I recently upgraded my servo and now a proud owner of a PI-3402 servo. I keep seeing these servos on promotional pictures but never knew what kind of servo is it. Did some research and found its from Xpert. They arent available locally and RCmart doesnt carry it.
I was glimpsing around the track's parts shelf one day and they had one in stock. Next thing I know I was installing this on my car. Compared to the Sanwa SDX-801 I had previously, it didnt seem that much faster, actually it felt slower than the Sanwa at 6v. But everything else seemed to be working and it performed flawlessly on the track. I really like how theres virtually no gear slop in the servo and it felt rock solid. I also like the little chime it did when I power on the car. At first I didnt know it was a function and kept wondering where is that tone coming from and then I realized it was the servo. Too bad the LHS doesnt stock this servo, I would be buying more if they did. |
I just bought a new sedan that came with a new Xpert PI-3402 servo. I did my normal electronics install, but cannot get the darn servo to work. I am using an Airtronics MX-V transmitter matched to an Airtronics 92524 receiver. ESC is a SkyRC Toro TS-120 Competition. My Futaba servos work perfectly, but the Xpert is totally unresponsive. Is there some compatibility issue I am unaware of perhaps? Any ideas?

None that we have ever seen, and the 3402 has been out for a long time. Did the guy you bought it from admit to anything...

I'm using a 3401 and a 3402 both with an FH2 92524 receiver (Sanwa MT4) and they work fine. Make sure your ESC is providing 6V to them.

3401 won't center
Got one of the silver and orange low pro servos. I loved it, until it stopped working this weekend at a race. First started glitching like my radio lost connection. The the servo was making all kinds of winding noises like it was trying to find center. Worth replacing gears in this or consider it a loss? Thx

You can send it to us... Hobby Authority. Let us take a look. Let you know if it needs gears or needs to be replaced. BTW - we have a trade in program to get you a brand new one at a discount.
