All kidding aside, they may not be 'a fraction' of the cost but, I noticed that it seems SMC has also lowered their prices. I bought 2 6000mah 80c packs from SMC last year and paid $60 each. Since then I've only paid between $25 and $40 per pack for Turnigy Nano-Techs.
After recently doing an IR check on all my packs, I found the SMC packs each had a cell with incredibly high resistance while all my Nano-Techs are about equal.
To each his or her own....

These are true driver impressions using sct. We wanted to do real world testing for actual loads rather than simulated loads.

what are some other brands members here would like to see tested.We are currently looking at shorty packs,seems alot of classes are going in that direction now

turnigy and protec will prolly make this run of tests,anyone else have a fav brand shorty that you see alot of at the track

that gforce does look like alot of power for the money. will be interesting to see what kinda IR some of these value priced bands have in shorty packs

good to know,We test promatch in that case,jeff is a very knowledgeable guy and good to deal with. nicely priced as well
We found that a few brands tested very sim,you could tell the cells were the same,some just matched better than others

doing some testing on the shorty packs now,will post some IR numbers of a few brands to start off people here mentioned.
100 c venom. looks pretty good,has pretty good punch,far cry from 100c though.

Reedy 65c looks pretty good,has alot of punch for its rating.
